In 1999 I was in Seattle for a few weeks and while visiting Pioneer Sq. (I think) I heard some fantastic jazz coming out of an underground record store. I went down and fell in love instantly with the music. It was �Live at Tula�s�. Needless to say I bought the CD on the spot. Three years later I still listen to it at least once a week. It�s now one of my favorite jazz albums in my steadily growing CD collection (from bop to acid, from Clifford Brown to Erik Truffaz).His tone is simply superb!
